REACH ("Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals") is a European Union regulatory framework for chemicals that entered into force on 1 June 2007.
Article 33, Communication of information on substances in articles
Husqvarna Group provides the following information about substances identified by the European Chemicals Agency as substances subject to authorisation, listed in Annex XIV of REACH (the so-called Candidate List), in a concentration above 0.1% weight by weight in articles.
Update regarding Lead (2018-07-06)
Lead (CAS Number 7439-92-1) was added to the REACH candidate list 2018-06-27.
Examples of articles present in our products containing lead over 1000 ppm:
- Articles made from machining steel such as fasteners and pistons.
- Articles made from aluminum alloys such as cylinders, crankcase and flywheels.
- Articles made from copper alloys such as contact pins, brass parts, bushings and spacers.
- Soldering used in some ignition modules and other electronic engine control systems. Note: phasing out is in progress and this should only occur in rare instances.
Update regarding Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) Phthalate (DEHP) (2018-07-06)
DEHP (CAS Number 117-81-7) was added to the REACH candidate list 2008-10-28.
Examples of articles present in our products containing DEHP over 1000 ppm:
- Articles made from flexible rubber such as bumpers, fuel and vent hoses, gaskets and seals, and dust cover boots. Note: phasing out is in progress and this should only occur in rare instances.
- Articles made from flexible plastic such as insulators of electric wires, cable components, and other small plastic components. Note: phasing out is in progress and this should only occur in rare instances.
- Articles made from flexible PVC and vinyl such as adhesive tape, seat covers, and clip covers. Note: phasing out is in progress and this should only occur in rare instances.
